08/31/2011 7:21 AM MDT - Due to CC issues last night, the KampSight nightly process (including daily reports and updates) did not run. We started this process (which does sign users off of KampSight/eKamp) at about 7:15AM MT. When the process is completed KampSight will be back up and running.

08/09/2011 8:27 AM MDT - UPDATE--The bug that was making the Operations Recap look like your credit cards were out of balance has been fixed. You can just re-run your Operations Recap to see you are in balance.
08/09/2011 7:44 AM MDT - There's a bug in the Operations Recap and the Credit Card balancing reports that are making it look like some of you are drastically out of balance for yesterday. This is just a bug in the reporting. Campers were charged correctly. We're working on the bug fix right now. We're sorry for the confusion and thank you for your patience!

1) "MERCH error – call support" appears when trying to process a CC. 2) When CCID is entered, KampSight stalls. A temporary fix is to remove the CCID and the CC should process.

08/04/2011 7:17 AM MDT - We went live with the new credit card system. As with any new install there are a couple snags we're fixing right now. Internet reservations are not working in all cases and there seems to be a problem with the credit card settlement report. We're working quickly to get them resolved. Thanks!

06/20/2011 6:29 AM MDT - The issue from Friday (6/17) has happened again. We'll be moving all of our internet traffic to a working connection. You may not be able to process VKR certificates at this time. If the VKRC is not working, register kampers without the VKRC and when the line is back up you can redeem the certificate. To connect to KampSight: 1) Open KampSight and click OK if you get a cannot connect screen 2) Click on File then Connect (If using Vista click on File then Edit/New Session) 3) Try to connect on any of the following 63.78.220.211 or 216.187.153.11 4) Click OK or Connect and follow the printer instructions below To connect your printers: 1) Look for the little blue printer icon in your lower right hand corner 2) Right click on it and select open 3) Try and click on File (if you can't just wait about 30 seconds and a pop up will appear saying you can\'t connect - just click OK) 4) Click on Connect (If using Vista click on Edit/New Session) 5) Try to connect on any of the following 63.78.220.211 or 216.187.153.11 6) Click OK
06/18/2011 6:25 AM MDT - KampSight has been restarted. The cause of the problem was a web server job on KampSight that wouldn't restart. IBM is helping us identify why but the only solution at that point was to restart the system. Our apologies for the early morning hassle!

If you get an error when you LEFT click on the box to download, try to RIGHT click and "Save Target As" or "Save Link As" to save the IIF file onto your computer. We will be taking the system down to repair our Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS). This UPS was the cause of this morning’s problem with not being able to reach KampSight. 12/18/2010 8:25 AM MST - This morning we had a failure on our backup power supply that affected KOA Home Office network equipment. The result was that while KampSight, KampSight.com, ekamp.com, our phone lines, and other servers were up and running, you were unable to navigate through the network equipment to actually connect to these systems. 10/12/2010 5:01 PM MDT - A series of Value Kard Rewards Certificates were marked as redeemed as of 10/11/10. We were able to identify the error and have successfully "unredeemed" these certificates so they should be able to be processed as usual.

05/29/2010 1:00 PM MDT - Ugh! The CC system is getting slammed again. We are going to disable CCs for Registration for Check-ins for the Pacific, Mountain, and Central Time zones at this time. The Eastern time zone will still be able to register guests with credit card payments until 2pm MDT (4pm EDT). At that time we will open the process for the Pacific time zone. This is the best of our bad options at this time. We will re-evaluate when to reinstate CCs for registrations for all time zones later in the day. 05/28/2010 6:59 PM MDT - Credit Card Update KOAs, we know it is best to just be straight up in all situations--Even when the news is bad. The fact is our credit card system cannot handle the volume being sent through it right now. We “upgraded” (bad word) our credit card software in January of 2010. The software provider was confident we would not have performance issues but here we are. The other fact is there is no quick fix from our software provider. Therefore we have to reduce the number of credit card transaction going through KampSight. After talking to some KOAs, it was agreed that the most critical transactions that must go through are KOA.com reservations and KampStore. We have restricted credit card transactions from being processed in the check-in process for now. Now, what to do going forward. Credit Cards are not being processed through the Registration/Check-in process at tonight (Friday). Registering Campers on Saturday We want to avoid having the credit card system shutting down again tomorrow. We’re asking that you begin registering campers with Credit Card Payments that you check in guests based on the following schedule: Eastern Time Zone: 8:00 a.m. EDT Central Time Zone: 9:00 a.m. CDT Mountain Time Zone: 9:00 a.m. MDT Pacific Time Zone: 9:00 a.m. PDT KampSight Support KampSight Support will be here from 7:00am to 7:00pm on Saturday. Please do not try to fix any credit card transactions. We will contact you if we need your assistance fixing anything. We will be watching the credit card system all weekend. 05/28/2010 5:35 PM MDT - We have to throttle down the number of credit card (CC) transactions flowing through the system. We know how important it is to keep KampStore and reservations flowing, so CCs are being processed for those programs. Next steps: We will open the registration/check-in program but you will not be able to charge CCs. We will have detailed instructions posted on KampSight.com by 7:15pm MDT for registering campers. Most KOAs will not notice the change, however if your KampSight window opens and immediately closes, you may be one of the few KOAs still be using 56 bit (instead of 128 bit). 08/15/2008 8:08 PM MDT - Actually it was not a Verizon outage although in our case our Verizon lines (voice and data) were affected. The information we have now is that there was a cut to a fiber line somewhere between Casper and Laurel. The line was cut at about 3:00 pm MDT and was fixed around 7:00 pm MDT. The cut didn’t just affect Verizon, but also Qwest and several other major carriers in the area. The technicians have put a temporary fix in place and will permanently fix it next week. We'll let you know whether the installation of the permanent fix will affect us in any way. Thanks for your patience!

In some instances, additional people charges are being built in to the deposit amount when they shouldn\'t. Luckily, the camper is charged only the correct amount when registering. The fixed programming is scheduled for completion by Tuesday. We\'ll run the programs through testing and release the fix to you very soon after that. 12/05/2006 3:14 PM MST - Verizon/MCI confirmed that they had a problem with the line. They had a card fail in a router in Denver. The replaced the card with a spare they had on site. Once the card was replaced the line came back up.
12/05/2006 3:04 PM MST - The Verizon/MCI line (63.78.220.211) appears to be functioning again. It is showing successful tests. You can switch your computer back or leave it on the Qwest (208.46.87.75) line.

11/10/2006 2:54 PM MST - Good afternoon! I’ve got good news for you on the Credit Card event from November 8. Paymentech and we have been working hard over the last couple days to identify all of the multiple charge/credit transactions that took place on Wednesday. Chase Paymentech has stepped up and is going to manually key in adjustments to all affected cards to make things right. There’s nothing more you need to do at this point to correct the problem. You should be aware that your credit card transactions will continue to appear to be out of balance for November 8. With all adjustments being made at Paymentech, there’s no way to report the fixes back into KampSight. Rest assured that by the end of business on Monday all cards will be adjusted. If your campers come to you with any questions about the charges on their card, you should contact Chase Paymentech’s Customer service line at 877-765-8669. They should be able to explain any transactions and make adjustments for cards in the unlikely event any cards were not identified. As always, the affected campers can contact their own credit card issuer for more explanation, as well. Thanks for your patience!

11/08/2006 8:21 AM MST - Good morning! Paymentech is experiencing technical difficulties which is causing sporatic credit card processing. To avoid any duplicate charges from this point on, we are shutting down the credit card system until Paymentech is fully operational. 11/08/2006 7:34 AM MST - We have had reports of credit cards "timing out". We have verified with Paymentech and they are having some issues right now that they are hoping to have resolved quickly. Some credit card transactions are going through with no problem. Others are "waiting" for 60 seconds then getting a "time out error". If you get the "time out error", DO NOT press F10=Manual Authorization unless you pick up the phone and call Paymentech for the Authorization number. DO NOT put in the CCID number, your franchise number, or make something up. You must get the authorization number from Paymentech.

The technical problem with the server is that the main system board has malfuntioned and needs to be replaced, or simply, the computer's brain has quit working.
